Pre-Wedding Shoot with Tasha and Tim

Next Saturday (9th) I’m off to London to shoot the wedding of Natasha (Tasha) and Tim at the unusually sounding Altitude360.

What’s so special about Altitude360? Well it’s pretty much what it says on the tin.  Altitude360 is 29 floors up the Millbank Tower – so that’s the Altitude.  The 360 is covered by the large glass windows that cover 360 degrees and give magnificent views over London.

Tasha and Tim in the StudioI first met Tasha and Tim at a Wedding Fayre last year.  They are a professional couple; Tim’s a Surveyor and Tasha’a a Teacher.  They are both ex-members of LeftLion, Nottingham’s Cultural Magazine.  Thinking about a location for their pre-wedding shoot was really difficult.  They are getting married in an urban environment.  You can’t get more urban than Westminster.  They aren’t country people and their favourite films are Pulp Fiction and Moulin Rouge.  I suggested my secret location just off J27 of the M1.  It’s not really a secret, I just use it sparingly.

Tasha made it very clear right from the start that “she didn’t take a good photograph” and “wasn’t photogenic in the slightest”.  Well ,we all like a challenge !

We started at about 10:00 am and finished about 3:30pm!  Five and a half hours that just flew by.  They are a great couple and Tasha has a wicked sense of humour.

But what of the photographs?  Well Tasha is photogenic and has “the look”, that I would love the models I use to have.  In fact I’m going to blow up one of the images and show it to models as they come for the shoot.  “This is what I’m looking for”

A great gouple

Tim is a cool guy, and he looked great in his suit.  The only issue I has was their difference in height, but we can’t have everything.

I’m really looking forward to shooting their wedding next week.  Not for the view, not for the London venue but because they are a genuinely great couple.
